DAY 1 – DAY TRIP – GOMANTONG CAVE / KINABATANGNA RIVER CRUISE
Afternoon, depart from your hotel in Sandakan or meet at Sandakan Airport. Continue your journey to Gomantong Caves is the largest limestone and bird nest caves in Sabah and home to millions of bats and swiftlets. When in season, you will be able to witness the bird nest collection by the local people.
After the cave visit, continue your journey to Bilit by the Kinabatangan River. You will having your lunch at Bilit. At 1600 hours, river cruise in search of wildlife that is so prevalent in the area – a good chance to see proboscis monkey, orang utan, macaques, pygmy elephants, birds and other wildlife. An early dinner will be served at the lodge. After dinner, return to Sandakan. Drop off at Sandakan Airport or at your respective hotel.
