DAY 1 – ARRIVAL LAHAD DATU / DANUM VALLEY FIELD CENTRE / EVENING WALK & NIGHT DRIVE
Recommended pick-up time: 09:30 hrs or 15:00 hrs
Pick-up from Lahad Datu Airport or hotel and proceed to the Danum Valley Field Centre office at Fajar Centre for registration. After a short briefing, continue with a 2½ hours overland journey into Danum Valley Conservation Area along a gravel road.
Upon arrival, register and check in at the centre after a briefing by DVFC staff. For morning arrivals, lunch can be arranged at the dining hall (optional). Guests may take some time to rest after the journey. Afternoon arrivals may enjoy light refreshments at the dining hall.
In the late afternoon, head out on a guided walk around the vicinity for approximately 1½ hours. This walk serves as an introduction to the rainforest, with opportunities to observe wildlife commonly found near the centre.
Return to the centre before evening for a short break. Dinner will be served at 19:00 hrs.
After dinner, you may opt to join a 4×4 night drive (optional and subject to availability) in search of nocturnal wildlife.
Lights off at 23:00 hrs.

DAY 2 – DANUM VALLEY FIELD CENTRE / GUIDED TREKKING & NIGHT WALK
Begin your day with breakfast at the dining hall before setting off on a guided trekking activity for approximately 4 hours. Your nature guide will determine a suitable trail based on weather conditions and fitness level.
Return to the centre for lunch and rest during the afternoon.
Later in the day, continue with another guided walk or trek for about 2 to 3 hours. The route may be adjusted to improve chances of wildlife sightings, especially around the centre area.
Return to the centre in the late afternoon for a short break. Dinner will be served at 19:00 hrs.
After dinner, proceed for a guided night walk around the vicinity (up to 1 hour) to observe nocturnal wildlife.
Lights off at 23:00 hrs.

DAY 3 – DANUM VALLEY FIELD CENTRE / EXTENDED TREKKING & NIGHT ACTIVITY
Start your morning with an early walk around the centre to experience the rainforest during its most active hours.
Return for breakfast before heading out for another guided trekking session of approximately 4 hours. Trails will be selected based on conditions and your guide’s assessment.
Return to the centre for lunch followed by some rest.
In the afternoon, continue with another guided walk or trek for about 2 to 3 hours, exploring different trails within the area.
Return to the centre in the late afternoon for refreshments and relaxation. Dinner will be served at 19:00 hrs.
After dinner, proceed for a guided night walk or opt for an additional night drive (optional and subject to availability).
Lights off at 23:00 hrs.

DAY 4 – DANUM VALLEY / DEPARTURE LAHAD DATU
Begin your day with an early morning walk around the centre.
Return for breakfast and prepare for check-out.
Check out at approximately 09:30 hrs and depart Danum Valley for your return journey to Lahad Datu. Estimated arrival in Lahad Datu town is around 12:00 hrs.
