DAY 1
- 2.00 pm: Expected to arrive at Maliau Gate. Guests will be served with a welcoming drink at theMaliau Basin Shell Building. Free and easy while strolling around the Information Gallery, or you can also have a light snack at the Maliau Cafe.
- 3.00 pm: Proceed to Maliau Basin Studies Centre.
- 3.30pm: Expected to arrive at the Studies Centre, Check-In. The shop next to the receptioncounteroffer you a choice of souvenirs to bring home.
- 5.00pm: Visit the Nature Gallery and learn about the beauty and uniqueness of the Enchanted Lost World of Borneo.
- 7.00 pm: Dinner at Maliau Basin Dalit Dining Hall.
- 8.00 pm: Proceed to Maliau Basin AV Lounge for a short video show (Introduction of MBCA) and take note of the Do’s & Don’ts while being at the studies centre.
- 8.30 pm: (ADD ON ACTIVITIES – CAN BE ARRANGED & PAY DIRECTLY AT MALIAU BASIN) Maliau Safari Night Drive into the darkness of the lost world and gets a glimpse of the wild roaming nocturnal animals. If weather does not permit, you will be taken for a Maliau Safari Dawn Drive on the next day (as early as 5:00 am)
- 10:30 pm: Goodnight and have a good rest!

DAY 2
- 7:00 am: Breakfast at Dalit Dining Hall.
- 8:00 am: Depart to Agathis Camp – the entrance to your journey into the lost world. (Packed lunch provided)
- 8:30 am: Start your journey into the wilderness on foot for about 7.5 km (4-6 hour) to reach Nepenthes Camp. You will walk across the southern Basin rim through steep hills. Experience the forest changes from a mixed dipterocarp forest to lower montane forest with fewer tall trees. Spot atleast six species of pitcher-plants, many species of Rhododendron and varieties of wildorchidalong your way. (Difficulty rate: Challenging)
Take a rest around noon to have your lunch. - 1:00 pm: Expected to arrive at the Nepenthes Camp or previously called Camel Trophy Camp at 945 meters elevation. Have a good rest before your next journey!
- 1:30 pm: Begin your journey to explore another wondrous 3 km trek to Giluk Falls, an easy-to-negotiate trail branch off northeast. (Advisable to bring headlight)
- 2:30 pm: Expected to arrive at Giluk Falls.
- 4:00 pm: Trek back to Nepenthes Camp.
- 4:30 pm: Free and Easy
- 7:00 pm: Dinner at Nepenthes Camp
- 10.00 pm: Overnight at Nepenthes R.S. (Dormitory style)

DAY 3
- 7.00 am: Breakfast
- 8:00 am: Bring along your bag pack and start your 10 km (7 hours) journey to the 7-tiered Majestic Maliau Waterfalls. (Difficulty rate: moderate to challenging) (Packed lunch provided)
- 2:30 pm: Expected to arrive at Maliau Falls. The breathtaking 7-tiers of cascading water was said by the Murut people as a home to a mythical water-dragon. These waterfalls riverine stairways and avenues are unique and among the most beautiful features of the Basin. In fact, the Basin is thought to have more waterfalls in its 390sq. kms than any other place in Malaysia, possibly in the world! The Basin is drained by the tributaries of the Maliau River, which descends the magnificent Maliau Falls, before flowing through a gorge out of the south-east of the Basin in to the Kuamut river which in turn feeds the mighty Kinabatangan, the longest river in Sabah.
- 3:30 pm: Trek to Ginseng Camp to spend your night. (Bring headlight)
- 5:30 pm: Expected to arrive at Ginseng Camp (at 645 meters elevation) and rest.
- 7:00 pm: Dinner
- 10:00 pm: Overnight at Ginseng Camp. (Dormitory style)

DAY 4
- 7:00 am: Breakfast
- 7:30 am: Embark on a 15 minutes’ walk to Ginseng Waterfall. One of the many wondrous waterfallsinMaliau Basin.
- 8:00 am: Trek back to Ginseng Camp
- 8:30 am: Group Photos at Ginseng Camp. Pack all your belongings (including your litter), make sure you leave nothing but footprints.Begin your journey back to Agathis Camp for another 9 km jungle trekking. (Packed lunch provided)
- 1:00 pm: Expected to arrive at Agathis Camp and thereafter, depart to Maliau Shell Building to check-out.
- 2:00 pm: Safe journey to your next destination.

- Use comfortable light cotton casual attire with long or short pants is recommended as humidity is high throughout
The Malaysian Tourism and Culture Ministry will establish a Malaysian Tourism Tax beginning September 1, 2017. (TTX). Foreign visitors will be charged a fixed cost of MYR 10 per room per night, regardless of the hotel’s star rating. The TTx must be paid at the time of check-in. Malaysians or permanent residents living in Malaysia are exempt from TTx, but must provide a valid identity card upon check-in to qualify.
