11:15hrs depart to Sim Sim Jetty for Schedule boat depart at 12:00 to Abai Jungle Lodge.
13:15hrs Lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant
14:00hrs Check in Abai Jungle Lodge (AJL).
16:30hrs River cruise to the best part of Kinabatangan River until night falls and continue night cruise to witness the fire flies as Christmas tree.
19:30hrs Dinner serve at Jetty facing Kinabatangan RiverAfter Dinner, Guided Night walk at our nature board walk (600m to 1000m)

DAY 2 ABAI JUNGLE LODGE – KINABATANGAN RIVERSIDE LODGE

06:30hrs morning cruise to Pitas Oxbow lake
08:00hrs Jungle Breakfast at Abai Jungle Platform.
10:00hrs Boat Cruising up stream to Sukau.
12:00hrs Check in Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge.(KRL)
12:30hrs Lunch at Sukau KRL.
14:30-16:00hrs Free at leisure relax at swimming pool.
16:30hrs River cruise to Menanggul River.
19:30hrs Dinner at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge

DAY 3 KINABATANGAN / OVERLAND TRANSFER TO LAHAD DATU / DANUM VALLEY FIELD CENTRE

06:30hrs Breakfast
07:30hrs Depart Sukau & overland to Lahad Datu
Arrive at lahad datu and proceed 2 1⁄2 hours overland journey Danum Valley Conservation Area. Enjoy the changing landscapes of the regenerating forests to virgin rainforests of 130-million year old Borneo’s tropical rainforest! Upon arrival, register at DVCA Reception & Information Building and check- in after briefing by DVFC staff.

Enjoy lunch provided at Dining Hall. After lunch, have a chat with your nature guide to plan your days at DVFC. Relax or take your power nap before going on a mid-afternoon walk around the centre as an introduction to the tropical rainforest. The area surrounding the center is teeming with wildlife and it is not uncommon for you to spot resident orang utan, red leaf monkey, sambar deer, hornbills, and other species.

Return to centre before sundown and enjoy dinner at 1900hrs. After dinner, venture into the forest on a guided night walk or 4×4 night drive to spot nocturnal wildlife.

DAY 4 – DANUM VALLEY FIELD CENTRE

Wake up early for morning nature and wildlife observation with your nature guide at 06:00 hrs to experience the pristine ambience of the rainforest as it has been for millions of years.

Return to the centre for your hearty breakfast and afterwards, embark on a trail in the area if you wish. Spend late morning unwinding before lunch.

After lunch, head off for another trek – there are various trails available for you to explore and your nature guide shall discuss this with you. Return to centre in late evening, just in time to watch the sky change colour as the daylight fades.
After dinner, venture into the forest on a guided night walk with your nature guide in search of nocturnal animals.

DAY 5 – DANUM VALLEY FIELD CENTRE / LAHAD DATU

Wake up as early as 04:30 hrs for 4×4 drive to Bukit Atur and be among the first to greet the first ray of the sun as it touches the valley or rise at 0600 hrs for the final morning walk with your nature guide. (if weather permits).
Return to centre for your hearty breakfast and afterwards, rest or embark on a trail nearby the centre.

Pack your belongings for check out time at 09:30 hrs and depart DVFC for your onward travel to Lahad Datu.
